Bianca's 1 Year Portraits and Isabelle's 2 year Portraits

Wow it has been quite awhile since I have posted on my blog and I apologize for the gap. I have been very busy lately with a lot of things including photography so here is a little taste of what I have been up to. This month I took photos of a very adorable 1 year old named Bianca. I also had the pleasure of shooting her 6 month old portraits as well so it's so great to get to be the one to help mark these big milestones in her family's lives.

I also get to take a lot of photos of my now 2 year old niece Isabelle. She has grown so much in the past year and is showing so much personality its a joy to watch her grow up.




I hope to post on a more regular basis but things are very hectic around here with my sister's wedding to plan and photograph. Photography is such an exciting field for me and I am constantly learning new things and sharing in so many important moments and memories in the lives of my family and friends. Its gonna be a good year! :D

The Cupcakes

My sister's wedding is fast approaching and all my sisters and I are helping out where we can to make her special day go off without a hitch. So starting today we will be spending our weekends testing out cupcake recipes. My sister and her fiance want to have several flavors of cupcakes at their wedding instead of the traditional wedding cake. This testing phase is going to be so fun. Tasting is such an important job and I am only too happy to oblige. :D The first batch we made is a S'mores Cupcake which is a dark chocolate cake with a graham cracker base and a toasted meringue topping. So delicious I hope they will be selected for the main event!

Snowstorm: December 2010

I am never prepared for snow storms. I never have the right footwear, never have a snow shovel or things like that. But one of my favorite times to take photos is right after a snow storm. It's cold and wet out there but the I find I must venture out at least once for a few shots. After a snowfall the same world that was there yesterday suddenly looks a little less ordinary. I like to capture this beauty on the rare occasions that it snows here in VA.

Christmas Time is Here...

I had the pleasure of taking photos of my beautiful niece in her Christmas dress the other day. The tree was decorated and there was a chill in the air. Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year and I hope to be able to take many holiday photos this season. Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year too!

Fall is Wonderful

I have done two different types of portrait shoots recently and I really enjoyed both so much! :) I had the pleasure of taking photos of a beautiful 6 month old baby girl and her parents. I also was able to take portraits for a good friend of mine. She got her brothers together to make these portraits a gift for her parents, so sweet. I just love going out and taking photos and I am always looking forward to the next photo session and the next new experience that comes with it. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

AJMAC Photography says Hello World!

I am super excited to start this blog! I hope that this can be a place to showcase new photos, discuss my journey into portrait photography as well as a place where people can see what AJMAC Photography is about and communicate with me.

The photograph above is a portrait of a fine gentleman I know as Landon. He is one of my favorite little models so you will see a lot of him throughout this blog :D
